Rachel looked from left to right, as if someone might be watching, overhearing everything they said. When she'd first taken the job, she'd found Ms. Steele cold and formal. But with long hours and high pressure meetings and clients, she'd begun to see a side of her boss that intrigued her. "Put them in my desk's top left drawer."

"Yes, ma'am." Rachel cleared her throat. She let her fingertips stroke her thigh, imagining it was Ms. Steele. "Is there anything else?"

"That'll do for now. Thank you, Rachel."

"Yes, ma'am." Her voice caught in her throat. "Pleasant trip."
