This tale of hope, inspiration, and transformation tells the story of a group of Mexican farm animals who rebuild their homes and farm while saving a flock of migrating monarch butterflies.

Elaine M. Hernandez, PhD, is a teacher and public health professional who is trained in leadership and global community development. She has lived and worked in rural Mexico, Central America, and Ukraine. In 1976, she started a school on a dairy farm and vineyard in Mexico for twenty-eight children. Today, she is a mother of three adult children and their spouses, and grandmother to five clever grandchildren living in the United States and Canada.
