Autorenporträt
Kathleen Kenneavy is from Oak Park, Illinois. As a child, she grew to love the power of reading. Teaching children to read and discover the magic of words led her to pursue a career as an elementary teacher in Illinois. But her love of nature and the sound of waves licking the lake shore coaxed her away from city life. She and her husband had a passion for outdoor life which prompted the move to Wisconsin where Kathleen continued teaching second grade for twenty-five years. Reading aloud to her young students fostered the idea to write this book. The story takes place at the family cabin on the shores of a beautiful pristine lake.
