Georgia Verble Herren is the author of Where Angels Walked and the cookbook Hey, Mom, What's for Supper? She was born and reared in Livingston, Tennessee, and resides with her husband, Herman, in Clinton, Tennessee. She credits her strong lifetime interest in the art of cooking to her mother who had a reputation as one of the best cooks in Overton County, Tennessee. While clinging to her mother's apron strings at the age of five, Georgia learned to mix and shape dough for biscuits and then prepare other food servings. She preferred learning to cook in the Goolsby kitchen over playing with dolls. Georgia believes cooking and dining with family and friends should always be enjoyable experiences. She hopes readers will find this collection of recipes tempting and that it will help develop a special interest in great cooking, which today is bordering on becoming a "lost art."
