The Family Paws Series follows our furry family members from their gotcha day onward! Hi! I'm Sissy Bear! is book 1 in the Family Paws Series!
My daughter and I teamed up to create a book series designed for special needs kids in grade/elementary school. Using slightly longer sentences, and sight words they're learning in school, it's the perfect series to help your child learn to read. Every special needs parent knows that the grade level doesn't reflect their child's development accurately. That's why this series is designed for any age student in elementary/grade school. Just like the illustrations my daughter painted, this series will grow and progress along with your child.
20% of all royalties are being donated to SKAFA Charity, a charity my daughter and I are creating to help support special needs families from diagnosis to independence. It isn't up and running yet, so this percentage of royalties will go directly to getting SKAFA Charity running and ready to begin helping families. In the back of every Family Paws Series book, is a link to a free printable Reading Tracker for your child! Print it out, fill it in, and then let us know so we can send your child a congratulations swag pack in the mail (it's 100% free) as a reward for being such an awesome reader!
