Helene Gammack is author of Kitchen Garden Estate: Self-sufficiency Inspired by Country Estates of the Past (2102) and also of the guidebook for The Courts Garden in Wiltshire, another National Trust garden. She has an MA in Garden History from the University of Bristol, was one-time Gardens & Parks Research Assistant for the National Trust, and has many years' experience as a practical working gardener and garden designer.
