Winter St James read her first romance novel when she was eleven years old, but she now finds writing romance more satisfying than reading it. In fact, she calls writing "reading in slow motion", since she gets to enjoy each scene over weeks and months, as she refines it in her head.She loves writing stories set in international locations, that are tropey, but play out realistically, sexy, but not crude, featuring larger-than-life but good-hearted heroes, and dramatic "I love you" conclusions.When she's not writing romance, she's writing help documents in her job as a software technical writer. She also enjoys organizing, home decorating, drawing, learning the piano, paper crafts, racquet sports, comedy shows, and anything to do with food. She lives with her husband, two sons, and red-heeler mix in Calgary, Canada.
