The book (History of Africa) explains how Egypt's connection with African countries was an ancient connection dating back thousands of years, that is, to the Pharaonic era, and that the ancient Egyptian civilization preceded all African civilizations, and was even the beacon that illuminated the sun of knowledge in many African countries, whether in the field of agriculture or science. Or the arts, and the truth is that the ancient Egyptian civilization did not extend only along the African coast overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, but it also flourished along the Red Sea coast on which many African countries are located, such as: Eritrea. Abyssinia and Somalia, and its influence flourished and extended into the countries of Western and Southern Africa. The book showed the virtue of the Arabs in Africa and the civilization that was born from their presence, especially on the eastern coast of the continent and the northern coast. The authors then dealt with the history of Portuguese colonialism and the slave trade, then European colonialism and the international competition to divide the continent. All of these matters were dealt with honestly by the book, even though the authors focused on European colonialism (French, German, and Portuguese) more than British colonialism, and this may be due to the authors being of English origin.
