Drawing on multidisciplinary research from across the globe, this book examines the political dimensions and impacts of HIV/AIDS and global health programming at local, national, and transnational levels. The book moves beyond previous work on the political determinants of HIV policy to dynamically HIV/AIDS responses and new global health endeavours as social phenomena with long-lasting impacts on states, civil societies, and citizens.
