This is a famous festival celebrated all over India being called by the names 'Hoḷaka', 'Holika', 'Holi', 'Phalgunika' 'Vasantotsava' and 'Kamanahabba' etc. Though there are differences regarding the day of observance and the modalities, it is celebrated throughout India. Only in the Bengal region the custom of performing 'Dolotsava' on that day to Lord Kṛshṇa is in vogue.
