Every since my teenage years, biography has been one of my interests. As a history professor I wrote biographies of historical figures, including Captain Bligh of the Bounty. For Hollywood - Red, White and Blue I turned my biographical interests toward members of my family who led lives that turned out to be more adventurous than they had planned.
