Basil Reid lives in Jamaica with his wife, Joan, and their son, Gavin. He has been a Christian for decades and enjoys walking, read- ing, writing, playing Scrabble, and traveling. Along the way, he has served as a lecturer, senior lecturer, and professor at The University of the West Indies (St. Augustine) in Trinidad and Tobago, and has authored eight books. He is currently an entrepreneur.
