The LORD Jesus Christ at His farewell speech in John 17:20 said Neither prayed I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; He prayed for them which the Father had given Him and He was not praying for the world but for them that the Father had given to Him. Paul the Apostle after he had nursed or discipled the young minister Timothy whom God gave him said to him in 2 Timothy 2:1-7 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witness, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. The husbandman that laboureth must be the first partaker of the fruits. Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus and that which Timothy had heard of him (Paul) commit to faithful men who shall be able to Teach others also.
In the Old Testament, we also see a committed son of Israel - Nehemiah whom The LORD used to rebuild the broken down wall of Jerusalem Neh.2:12 And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God put in my heart to do at Jerusalem: neither was there any with me, save the beast that I rode upon. After the work had been completed, he also gave a charge to Hananiah who was found faithful at the work Neh 7:2 That I gave my brother Hanani, the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many. There could have been several number of workmen at the building of the wall but Hananiah excelled in faithfulness and Nehemiah seeing that, there was need to appoint one who proved faithful to be in charge of the welfare of the inhabitants, gave Hananiah a charge of what he needed to do next after the work of building the wall was over.
May I quickly say here? That as The LORD Jesus Christ left the disciples with the news of the coming of another comforter John 14:26 But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said to you. Of which He had been the first comforter, the same way, Moses by God's commandment also gave the news to the Hebrews of their Restoration to their lost inheritance (A land flowing with milk and Honey where they would eat bread without scarceness) Deuteronomy 6:10- 13 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildest not, And houses full of all good things, which thou fillesdt not, and wells digged ,which thou diggest not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantesdt not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Thou shall fear the LORD thy God, and serve Him, and shalt swear by His name. As we consider the above, we come to a time when we need to look inward to find out what should be the next issue of life as it affects a Holy Ghost School disciple.
