As a safety professional and emergency response provider, I repeatedly witnessed or responded to preventable injuries and illnesses directly related to hazards and people losing the battle against them. Though some of the chapters are written with a little humor - perhaps a result of years of running emergency calls - the information within this e-book can save your life or prevent a serious injury from occurring.

This series began as a column in a Chester, Virginia, newspaper in August 2006. It continues to run today in publications across the US.
