Theresa Brennan Cusmano was born on October 30, 1962, in New York City. She is one of eight children. She began writing poetry in high school. When she became a mother, she started telling her children stories during bath time. Every night, she would tell magnificent stories about the adventures of princes and princesses and snow babies with magical animals. With the inspiration of her children enjoying her stories so much, the Hoppy and Coco series came to life.
