"House Divided" is a bestselling historical novel, treasured as one of the finest representations of the horrors and humanity, family torned and the long consequences of the Civil War. At the onset of the Civil War, five siblings from a prominent Confederate Virginia family discover an astonishing revelation- their father is none other than the grandfather of Abraham Lincoln. This narrative unfolds the captivating saga of the family and its subsequent generations, encompassing both military personnel and civilians. The tale vividly portrays their braggadocio, ambition, and arrogance, juxtaposed with moments of patience, valor, and shrewdness. The author skillfully breathes life into one of the most remarkable periods in history, depicting the war not merely as a conflict but as a pervasive affliction from which no nation fully heals, regardless of the outcome.
