Seminar paper from the year 2014 in the subject Art - History of Art, grade: 1,9, , language: English, abstract: C.R.W. Nevinson, like other war artists, painted what he witnessed at first hand at the frontline during the First World War. This paper explores the impact of his work on the perception of the war at the time and seeks to understand the role of "war artist" in the early twentieth century.
