Autorenporträt
So this is the "about me" space. I think I'm rather ordinary, but then I compare myself to the heroines in the science fiction fantasy books I read, and it's hard to measure up to Honor Harrington or Peri the fae from Quinn Loftis' books.
I have lived all over the country. The longest stretch as I was growing up was in Michigan. I love the snow but not being cold, and the sun but hate being hot. I live in Phoenix Arizona now. It really is a dry heat, but I'll admit it, anything over 95 is hot no matter how dry it is. I will say that I once went to a wedding in Tennessee that was only in the 80s, but the humidity was over 90%. I got so sick I thought I was going to die. It was worse than 105 in the dry heat!

My professional life has been spent in nursing. I earned a BS in psychology from Michigan State University and a BSN (nursing) from the University of Detroit Mercy. I've worked in various areas of nursing including the hospital, rehabilitation, occupational health, insurance triage and insurance record review. In every area of nursing I have been interested in patient advocacy and that's what drove me to write and publish my first book, How to Obtain Your Social Security Benefits.

I would like to write something inspiring to people struggling with high blood pressure, obesity, smoking and diabetes. All four of these diseases have the potential to be impacted to a great extent by how the individual copes with their challenges. Lifestyle modification has the greatest potential to help in the treatment of each of these four killers.
