What is the general goal of life for most people in the earth? Get married and have a loving relationship with the spouse, have a nice family, rear children, have basic comforts in life well met, enjoy some luxuries, have a peaceful retired life and old age. Thus, everything revolves around family. The very purpose of working and earning money is predominantly to run the family. When the family life is smooth and cordial, when there is love and mutual care existing, then every strain of working in a job and earning money becomes truly meaningful. Somewhere in this seemingly simple scheme of things, there is also an urge to have 'successful career' as a potent psychological need. Successful career includes making quite good money, gaining posts, positions and promotions, climbing up the corporate ladder in a mad hurry, and enjoying power, prestige and status. Many times, these aspirations invariably derails a conjugal family life and people end up as if crossing the well half-way. It is time to remember that there is a whole lot of people in the middle rungs of management who have their right to lead a 'successful life', where they can prove their worth and attain job satisfaction at office, and at the same time, have a very satisfactory family life. This book is aimed to address that group and give some practical life lessons that can guide them to have a life which is well lived. This book is in two parts.

The first part addresses office matters. It gives valuable tips on how to successfully handle the boss, how to grow from an executive to a manager, how to conduct good meetings, how to make your capabilities known to higherups in the organization etc.

The second half deals with the family matters for an executive to lead a balanced and peaceful life at home. It gives totally different views and perspectives about a good family life that is well lived, that present generation seems to be oblivious to. It gives deep insight into the distorted perceptions about money, husband wife relationship, need for simplicity in life, importance of savings, ways to be free from debt and related worries and so on. It gives serious insights into male mentality and the pitfalls to which women sometimes fall on account of over-feminism. This book is not a typical Self-help book aimed to generate the so-called billionaires, creators of new history, writers of overnight success stories and so on. It is for the mid-level, salaried executives who will be happy to find their 'successful middle path' both in family life and career, and rightfully feel proud of achieving it.
