After a 50 year business career of starting and owning many companies, Sam Almond semi retired in 1996, then aged 70. His main business spanned 28 years, in which he owned and ran a shirt manufacturing firm, employing 160 persons, which he profitably sold in 1978. He subsequently started and owned a leasing business, a property company and a food importing business. He later owned a small part of an Offshore Investment Trust company and became interested and involved in the world of finance. Now 88 years old, he has spent the years since semi retiring actively trading. Options and CFDs (Contracts for Difference), pursuits he enjoys and in which he makes steady profits. Within the last few years he has added book writing to his activities.
