Autorenporträt
Stephen D. Litwin is Deputy Assistant Chief Medical Director for Research and Development at the Veterans Administration Central Office in Washington, D.C. He was formerly Scientific Director of the Guthrie Foundation for Medical Research in Sayre, Pennsylvania, and, prior to that, Professor of Medicine and Head of the Division of Human Genetics at Cornell University Medical College in New York City. The author or coauthor of some 90 articles, book chapters, and proceedings papers, he has coedited or coauthored five books, including Clinical Evaluation of Immune Function in Man and Developmental Immunobiology. Dr. Litwin serves as an editorial consultant for Marcel Dekker, Inc.'s Immunology Series. Among the professional organizations he belongs to are the American Society for Clinical Investigation, American Association of Immunologists, American Society of Human Genetics, and the Harvey Society. Dr. Litwin received the M.D. degree (1959) from New York University School of Medicine.
