Autorenporträt
Dr. Manish Pandey is Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India. He completed his graduation in civil engineering from Uttarakhand Technical University, India. He completed his post-graduation and doctorate from the IIT Roorkee. Dr. Pandey has more than 6 years of teaching and research experience in experimental hydraulics and water resources engineering. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed journal papers and 25 book chapters and conference proceedings papers.  He was awarded the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) postdoctoral research grant in 2018. He has guided 1 Ph.D. student and 10 M.Tech. students and is currently guiding 4 PhD students. Dr. Pandey is a member of the editorial board of the journals 'Environmental Development and Sustainability', 'Journal of Water Management Modeling', 'Water SA' and 'Journal of Applied Science and Engineering'. He has also handled guest editorship for 'Special issue (SI) of 'Fluids', 'SI of Journal of Applied Water Engineering and Research', 'Frontiers in Environmental Science Journal', 'SI of The Urban Fluvial and Hydro-Environment System'. Dr Pandey is also an active reviewer in several reputed peer-reviewed journals.   Prof. N V Umamahesh has more than 35 years of experience as a faculty in the Department of Civil Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Warangal. His area of specialization is water resources engineering, and his research areas include hydrological modelling, stochastic hydrology, hydro-climatic extremes, modelling impacts of climate change, urban floods, and water resources systems. He has guided 13 Ph.D. students and 100 M.Tech. students and is currently guiding 7 Ph.D. scholars. Prof. Umamahesh has published more than 60 papers in reputed international journals, 6 book chapters and has presented more than 50 papers at national and international conferences. He has also completed several sponsored research and consultancy projects. Prof Umamahesh has also held several administrative positions, including the Head of the Department (HoD) of Civil Engineering and Coordinator of the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-II). He was awarded the Jalamitra award by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2003 for his implementation of the Watershed Development Program in Warangal District. He received the Best Engineering Faculty Award in 2017.   Dr. Jew Das is Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at NIT Warangal. He completed his B.Tech. in agricultural engineering from the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar and his M.Tech and Ph.D. in Water Resources Engineering from NIT, Warangal. His research interests are climate change impact assessment, extreme value analysis, non-stationary analysis, hydrological analysis and modelling, crop modelling, analysis of compound extremes, and ensemble forecasting of hydrologic extremes. Dr. Das has authored more than 35 peer-reviewed journal articles and presented more than 10 papers at international conferences. He received the prestigious Sivapalan Young Scientists Travel Award (SYSTA) award from the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) in 2019. He also serves as a reviewer for more than 10 reputed peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Das is a member of the Early Career Editorial Board of the Journal of Hydrologic Engineering. He also serves as a member of the Early Career Committee of the International Commission on Statistical Hydrology (ICSH) under the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS).   Dr. Jaan H. Pu completed his B.Eng. (first class honours) and Ph.D. from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom. Since 2008, he has taken up several research and faculty positions at various universities and institutions around the world, including Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Singapore and France. He has been working as Associate Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Bradford since 2020. Dr Jaan's research concentrates on modelling and laboratory approaches to represent various water engineering applications which include naturally compound riverine flow, sediment transport, water quality, and vegetated flow. He has published more than 40 journal articles, conference publications, and book chapters. Currently, he is supervising 4 Ph.D. students to investigate river hydrodynamics and sediment transport challenging applications. Dr Jaan also serves as Visiting Scientist at the Tsinghua University, China and the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore/China. He has also been Guest Editor for a special issue of the journal 'Water'. He also serves as a reviewer for multiple international reputed journals.
