Autorenporträt
Lisa Castagnola is a former preschool teacher and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in children and families. Lisa is a proponent of social-emotional education and has dedicated her career to the wellbeing of all children. Lisa is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara and received a Master of Public Policy and Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University. As a child therapist, Lisa completed advanced clinical training at the Yale University Child Study Center. She is currently the Program Director for a foster youth mental health program in San Diego, California where she also has a private practice serving women and children and training other educators and therapists. This story is based on a long standing interaction between Lisa and her own mother.
