It seems impossible to reach the light when you are in the deepest darkness. After experiencing an event as painful as a child's death, you cannot imagine that you will be able to celebrate life again, but today, I tell you it is actually possible. The loss of a loved one leaves a permanent mark on your heart, on your soul and your memory. Going through grief is inevitable because it is the only path that can give you back the breath you need to accept what seems unacceptable and embrace it with love and gratitude. Today, I place in your hands the tools that have helped me transform pain into love. They have given me back the energy to discover my purpose, reconnect with joy and wake up every day feeling grateful for being a witness to this miracle that we call life.
Autorenporträt
Kimi Turró Abad (Roses, 1960) has been a businesswoman for 40 years and runs a well-known family business in Banyoles, where she lives with her loved ones. In 2017, she published the first edition of the book I love you, thank you, narrating her own experience after her son Adrià Roca's death in a motorcycle accident. On this work, she shares the tools that have helped her to go through the grief and integrate the great emotional impact this event had on her being. I love you, thank you has been cataloged as a personal growth book at the University of Barcelona and is part of the most important bibliographic catalogs in the world. Being the hard-working and brave woman she is, Kimi gathered up her great inner strength to move towards her dreams and created Kimicor. This project represents her son's energy and comprehends two great purposes: spreading love all over the world and contributing to different NGOs, such as www.vidasignificativa.org and the clowns from Trueta Hospital in Girona. She collaborated in the book Volver a vivir (Return to life), by Beatriz Cantu, sharing her experience with grief. She is also the co-author of a beautiful collaborative project of women entrepreneurs that will be published shortly. Simultaneously, being aware that his son's death is teaching her the value of life and having the need of going in depth in this subject, she has set an interview program in motion, ¿Hablamos de la muerte? (Shall we speak about death?). It is available on Instagram and aims at investigating this subject, which is still a taboo for a large part of society. Her sole purpose is to feel and keep her heart in peace and joy, which is why she has chosen the path of love and gratitude.
