From being bombed whilst at sea on a gunboat, finding a spent German bullet in his backpack to rescuing his Troop Officer's camera from an Italian encampment whilst under fire, this is an extraordinary tale of an ordinary man who went to war to 'do his bit', and came home to not tell the tale!
Jack Buckley would simply not talk about the war.
