Back in 2016, my husband and soulmate, since the age of fifteen, suddenly passed away. After his death I became addicted to opioid pain killers and lost custody of our two children. Later that year I was in a horrible accident and had to learn how to walk, write, overall functions we all take for granted all over again. In 2018, I lost my job with the State of Ohio, my home, and eventually was homeless. My family and friends I once had all turned their backs on me, leaving me to the streets. During this time, I met other people just like myself, that society has labeled "broken", with a repetitive story just like mine. I have written several articles to help those in need, started a podcast, and decided to write a book to help others who have lost their way.
