Harriet E.H. Earle is a senior lecturer in English at Sheffield Hallam University and research fellow at the Centre for War, Atrocity, and Genocide at the University of Nipissing. She is the author of Comics, Trauma, and the New Art of War (2017) and Comics: An Introduction (2020) and the series editor of Global Perspectives in Comics Studies. She also sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics. Martin Lund is senior lecturer in religious studies at the Department of Society, Culture and Identity at Malmö University, Sweden. He is the author of Re-Constructing the Man of Steel: Superman 1938-1941, Jewish American History, and the Invention of the Jewish-Comics Connection (2016) and co-editor of Muslim Superheroes: Comics, Islam, and Representation (2017, with A. David Lewis) and Unstable Masks: Whiteness and American Superhero Comics (2020, with Sean Guynes). His research interests include the intersections of religions and comics, comics and identity, and comics and urban life. He is also co-editor of the series Encapsulations: Critical Comics Studies (with Julia Round).
