Autorenporträt
Tricia Pedro is no stranger to child advocacy and development. Being a mother of 8 children, she has experienced many of the concerns that parents have for their children. When her son Marley, started to exhibit difficulties with pre-school, she not only stepped in as his advocate, but also educated herself on anything and everything she could provide for him to close the gap between his needs and what he was receiving.

Throughout this journey she met other parents with the same concerns for their children. The common discomfort of not knowing how to support their children led Tricia to become an advocate for parents as well. She also realized that sometimes parents, under the external pressures, can misunderstand the needs and outcry of their children.

Then Farley the Penguin was born...

It is Ms. Pedro's calling and mission to strengthen the parental bonds of parents with their children through her book series, "If Farley Only Knew." This first installment of the series addresses the adjustment that many of our children go through when they first attend school. Each additional installment will address other child-based obstacles our children face and how we can support them through it. You don't want to miss this journey.
