Autorenporträt
Born in Swindon, England, Jo Anne Bowers was bitten by the writing bug at a very early age. Almost as far back as she can remember, she has wanted to write children's books. Ms. Bowers wants her books to encourage children to be responsible, believe in themselves, and do the right thing by protecting the environment. "If Starfish Could Talk" is the second book in her marine life series. Ms. Bowers strongly believes that if marine life is to survive for future generations, we must bring awareness to our youth. Ms. Bowers holds a bachelor's and master's degree in education. For over thirty years, she has worked with children with special needs. She believes that all children can succeed, given the right opportunity. Today, Jo Anne Bowers is a true Floridian. She is fascinated by the creatures that inhabit our underwater world and can often be found spying on them through the lens of a camera.
