Illumine is Lynda Allen's second collection of poetry. It is a celebration of the light within us all, as well as a chronicle of the journey Ms. Allen took in remembering the constancy of that light within herself. The words that move through Lynda speak directly to the heart, and inspire others to not only heed the call of their own heart, but also to embrace their journey, both the light and the dark, with joy and wonder.
The poems in Illumine are accompanied by four photographs by award-winning photographer, Joyce Tenneson, found in her book "Intimacy," a collection of photographs of flowers. Included in the volume are nine poems that were inspired by Tenneson's work. Ms. Allen often finds inspiration and spiritual wisdom for her work through the beauty of nature, in this case as captured by Tenneson's photographs.

Autorenporträt
Lynda Allen sees herself as a life in progress. One of her soul's greatest joys is listening, and then writing what she hears. Lynda discovered a love for listening in the form of writing through time spent in the stillness of her own writing and meditation practices, and by being present in and listening to the natural world. She has found comfort, inspiration, guidance, insight, and wisdom in the words that move through her. She delights in opportunities to share those words at poetry readings, speaking engagements and workshops. Lynda is the author of three collections of poetry, Rest in the Knowing, Illumine and Wild Divinity; a novel, Sight to See; and a nonfiction book, The Rules of Creation. The words that move through Lynda speak directly to the heart, and inspire others to not only heed the call of their own heart, but also to embrace their journey, both the light and the dark, with joy and wonder. Another of Lynda's passions is helping to create a more peace filled world. She is committed to her personal meditation practice and to helping others with their own practice.
