The purpose of this book is to support the idea that incidents of this sort happen to all people, regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, location, race, what one is wearing, etc. Its purpose is also to let others going through the same things know that they are understood, they can get through the hard times, it's not their fault, they are loved, that they're not alone, and that they are not the only one.
