Autorenporträt

My name is Alvin Jeffrey AKA Mustapha Kashief. I was born to the late Alwyn Jeffrey and Jean Bushby in Georgetown, Guyana. I assumed the name Mustapha Kashief after I accepted to practice the religion of Islam in 1983. I was fascinated with the idea of writing from since my teenage years, but not until I migrated to Toronto, Canada that I was encouraged to further my talent; so I enrolled at the George Brown College and earned a Creative Writer's diploma. I then published,wrote and edited three(3) journals between 1990-1995. Those being AL-BASHEER (The Glad Tidings), Islamic- African Correspondence and VOICES. I'm also a Motivational speaker since 2001. Worked in many schools/colleges/churches/mosques and many other gatherings across the United States and around the world.
