Erin Turner was one of the talented electronic engineers working with Daniel Treloar to develop micro and nanotechnology applications for electronic chips. Her affection for her boss was in tatters when he became engaged to Naomi Stockton. Nothing went as she envisioned. No windfall for the development of chip manufacturing as the funds made from selling the patents were invested for future research. Worse, Daniel had become a believer and his time at work was limited by his work with a trust fund assisting refugees and providing mission medical facilities.
This chaotic emotional state drew Erin into a scheme to sell secrets to the highest bidder. Her holiday was a smokescreen for the exchange of a memory stick for payment. Time cooled her enthusiasm for espionage and Erin didn't make the exchange when she expected to. Complications set in as she travelled with companions including Micah Burton. Her growing affection for the enigmatic Australian who mysteriously appeared at unexpected junctures in her journey, was tainted with doubts.
As hers travels moved from England through Western Europe and Italy to the Middle East, Erin found out that Micah was rediscovering his Christian faith. Her analytical scientific brain couldn't conceive of a transcendent reality. It became worse as the tour through Israel became an exercise in providing a biblical commentary. She had to deal with the challenges of engaging with the claims of the gospel and the presence of another traveller who turned out to be far too attractive for her liking. Questions concerned her. Who was Micah really? Would he become interested in Dana? Was there a future for her with someone like Micah?

What does a retired teacher do? Especially a teacher with a hyperactive imagination and ingrained work habits. Well this one writes. And being a Christian, each novel I have written necessarily is pieced together from a Christian perspective.
I have a broad range of interests which include science and technology, mathematics, travel, sports and the interrelationship of people. Much of what intrigues me about people is that some pursue truth with the determination of a bloodhound while others almost ignore existential ideas and while away their short time spent on earth being distracted by people or pleasures or possessions or power.
Writing is a hobby. It allows me to research and self educate, and it also permits me to refine my perspectives of concepts existential and theological.
