This is a book of poetry that I wrote while incarcerated so that I could brighten the the day of my loved ones. Each poem I wrote to fit in a card that I made to express my feelings of love and appreciation. I wanted to bring joy and happiness to the ones I hold dear to my heart. Steven Garrett is a survivor of a troubled past. With a lack of guidance growing up he made poor decisions. Which he carried into adulthood and they landed him into prison time after time. He finally realized he needed to quit blaming others for his choices in life. Once he accepted responsibility for his own actions he has been able to grow. He has matured into a thriving piece of the community. Where he was once a hinderance now he gives back trying to coach troubled youth.
