In My Beams is a story about imagination and encouraging reading. The main character goes on adventures with her flashlight as she discovers different places such as outer space, the ocean, jungles, the desert, and more. In the end we find out that she has been using her imagination while reading a pile of books under the covers with a flashlight. This book was inspired by my son, Kai and is dedicated to him and all the little readers out there.

Jamie Briggeman is a Watercolor & Mixed Media artist from Wichita, Ks. She began doing watercolors at the end of 2019 and recently started experimenting with abstract paintings. She loves painting with bright colors, especially when it comes to animals and nature. Besides art, Jamie is also a singer, author, and mother of two. She recently published her first children's book called "In My Beams" which she both wrote and illustrated. Alongside her husband, Garrett Briggeman, the couple started their own art business and website offering their original paintings, prints, books, music and they also take commissions.
