Als Tochter eines fundamentalistisch orientierten Pfarrerehepaars verbrachte Emma Turk ihre Kindheit und Jugend in Rheinland-Pfalz. Sie studierte Pädagogik und unterrichtete als Lehrerin für Grund- und Hauptschule in Dörfern in Rheinland-Pfalz, Baden-Württemberg sowie an einer Deutschen Schule in Kolumbien. Aus gesundheitlichen Gründen verlor sie früh ihren eigentlichen Beruf, konnte sich danach aber noch eine freiberufliche Existenz als private Musiklehrerin aufbauen. Als solche war sie zuletzt in Berlin tätig. Daneben veröffentlichte sie Gedichte in Anthologien, ein Buch über ihre Kindheit im Mauer-Verlag Tübingen und mehrere Werke über Selfpublishing-Plattformen, zuletzt über ¿Mein Bestseller¿. Sie war viermal verheiratet, ließ sich viermal scheiden, hat drei Kinder und neun Enkelkinder und lebt heute in Hamburg. Sie ist siebenundsiebzig Jahre alt.
