In the first part of this poetry collection, the poet endeavors to write extremely condensed poems consisting of four or five lines each, except for some poems which the experience required that they be longer; he also maintains the consistency of the poems as integrated aesthetic units, hence the poems get rid of all that can be discarded. In the second part, he writes relatively longer poems, each in two pages. Yet he divides the poems to very short stanzas, for them to appear like a mosaic so the reader can receive each stanza as a stand-alone poem. Besides, putting the stanzas near to each other creates a more-extensive scene that contains broader and deeper implications. These poems complete the subject of "e;estrangement"e;, which is considered the most important aspect of the poet's poetry project since the publication of his first poetry collection--estrangement, in its spatial and psychological aspect. Yet it becomes deeper here as he started the journey of a real alienation by migrating to the USA where he wrote a section of the first part of the collection and all of the second part. He also compensated his absence from his homeland by recalling pictures and interacting with them, pictures that summon the women in them with their deep memories. The poet is also keen to accurately record the dates his stanzas were written, as if each date was a part of the respective poem's body. And by doing so, he continues in the project of writing poetic "e;diaries"e; which he started with his poetry collection The Diaries of the Maestro, 2008, and which is the most prominent feature in his experience--besides the intensive presence of women and the feminine body--that makes it a distinct experience in Arabic poetry, which is rich in unique voices.
