This book was also a dream of hers; not to be famous or to sell a million copies, but for the purpose of having something for the generations after her and those closest to her to share and reminisce. The inspiration for this book is for those that miss her more than she will ever know. She was taken from us way too soon, but her words can live on through this book...

Autorenporträt
Deborah Reid was born on May 21, 1957, to her parents Irene Nelson and Murkland O'Kelley. She grew up on the Northside of Pittsburgh around family and friends. She was the first person in her family to attend college and got her associates degree in Applied Science from the Community College of Allegheny County in 1991. She married Glynn Reid on November 6, 1982. Together they had three sons; Jamar Maurice "Shittle Boy", twins Joshua Martel "Smoogie" and Justin Marcus "Kissy Face". She also had four grandchildren. Deborah had a handful of things she loved; from going out on one of Pittsburgh's riverboat cabarets to playing her daily and evening lotto numbers with scratchies to racking up some money on penny slots at the casino to hosting cookouts for family and friends to playing Tiger Woods on Xbox 360 to playing cards including bid, whist and spades. Lastly, she loved talking on the phone to anybody, especially her sister, Lynette Devers better known as "Agnes" only to her sister Deborah was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and like family to just about anyone she knew. This book is her life in poems, in her words, through pain, joy, struggle, and perseverance.
