Steven R. Kahler has been a lifelong resident of south central Pennsylvania. Born in Harrisburg, his family shortly moved to northern York County, where he was raised. It was there that Steve earned the rank of Eagle Scout and participated in the high school music and theater programs. After marrying Wendy and moving to Lancaster County, he became involved with Civil War reenacting in an artillery detachment and then once more became involved in the scouting program. It was here that he filled the position of cubmaster and then scoutmaster for the pack and troop at the local church. He also helps train adult leaders in his local Boy Scout Council and is a member of the Order of the Arrow. Steve is an ardent member of his local congregation, Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, participating in both the service and the choir. He has made several trips to Canada for weeklong canoeing trips and hiked several sections of the Appalachian Trail. At one point in his life, Steve was a fire department station lieutenant in Fairview Township, and battalion chief of a Greater Philadelphia Search and Rescue Unit. He was a member of Appalachian Sports Car Club, and worked timing and scoring at local events and Summit Point Raceway. This is Steve's second self-published novel Besides writing, Steve is an avid reader. His favorite authors are David Baldacci, Lee Child, Clive Cussler, and Robert B. Parker. Steve would love to retire to a cabin in the woods with a sparkling lake just off the front porch.
