Autorenporträt
T. P. Sreenivasan, a former Indian Ambassador, has served in the IFS for 37 years at crucial positions around the globe, particularly at the UN, in various capacities. His mission in life after he returned to Kerala has been to train bright youngsters to join the Civil Services, notably the IFS. The NSS Academy of Civil Services in Thiruvananthapuram, which he heads, has produced a large number of civil servants in the last ten years, including diplomats, who serve in the Indian missions abroad with great distinction. He has authored this monograph on the Indian Foreign Service to help the aspirants to make informed choices of the Services that suit their talents and aspirations. He is presently the Director General of the Kerala International Center, an Adjunct Professor of Eminence and Mentor of the Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai, a Member of the Governing Bodies of TKM Educational Institutions, SCMS, Kochi, and DC Management School, Vagamon. He writes regularly on international affairs in Indian and foreign journals with the needs of the Civil Service aspirants in mind.
