Social Networking Activity Intensity Scale, Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale, and Neuroticism subscale of Big Five Inventory were used to measure social media usage intensity, self-esteem, and emotional stability respectively. SPSS-26 was used for the analysis of data. Results showed that social media has negative correlation with academic performance, and self-esteem has no significant impact on academic performance. However, emotional stability showed positive correlation with academic performance. Results also revealed that there were non-significant gender differences in all variables.
