The purpose of this book is to study and comprehend the place of television information in the process of formation of Russian political entities and institutions in the first decade after the collapse of the Soviet Union - perhaps the most politically important period in the history of Russia. At that time, Russian information television acquired many well-recognized features of a political institution and since then has increasingly acted as a full-fledged political subject, significantly influencing the life of the entire society.
