Prior to investment in an infrastructure project, it is necessary to establish its feasibility, both in monetary and nonmonetary terms. Nonmonetary considerations include social and environmental. Future demand and operating and maintenance costs for infrastructure are uncertain; lifetime and investment parameters are uncertain. This book provides a methodology for establishing the feasibility of infrastructure, or any man-made asset, and for options to modify or adapt, given future uncertainty such as that associated with climate change.
