Tourist destinations are trying to innovate, but the interplay between regional knowledge dynamics and actors in tourism industry is complicated by the difficulties involved in coordinating the efforts of a multiplicity of private and public stakeholders. The contributions to this book demonstrate that this challenge can be addressed in a variety of ways and makes the case for innovation policies adapted to the specific circumstances of individual tourism destinations.
