Nadia de Bruin woon tans saam haar man en dogtertjie in die pretjiemooi Oos-Vrystaat. Sy ken haar man al sedert hul hoërskooldae en het in haar matriekjaar besluit hy is haar groot liefde. Hulle het saam gaan onderwys studeer en is albei steeds in hierdie beroep.
Sy is mal oor boeke en alles waarvoor dit staan. Die vroue in haar familie deel ook hierdie liefde vir lees, daarom het skryf as die natuurlike volgende stap gevoel. Die gogga het behoorlik gebyt en nou kan sy skaars wag om met die volgende storie te begin. Buiten lees en skryf is sy ook versot op haar dierekinders en sal soms ook haar hand in die kombuis waag wanneer haar program dit toelaat.
