J. Ko is thankful for the life God has given her and proud of her South Texas roots and allows them to be an inspiration in everything she does. Having the opportunity to be blessed with the ability to see the country and the world because of her faith, education, sport, and music, she has become inspired by the stories she's been told, the people she has met, and her surroundings. For the past ten years, she has been building her collection in the world of poetry and prose. Throughout her life, she has always been a dreamer, believing anything is possible. In her time teaching, volunteering, competing, and studies, shares the message of don't ever stop believing and reach for the stars. She swears her heart's in Texas and Australia and plans to share her passion for culture with the world. She was born on May 6, 1988 and grew up in Stockdale, Texas. She attended Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi, earning her B.A. in History (Social Studies education) and a music minor, and is currently working on her Master of Arts in Youth Ministry from Howard Payne University.
