Anil Minocha MD; FACP; FACG; AGAF; CPNSS is a nationally known physician and currently holds the academic title of Professor of Medicine. Dr. Minocha has board certification in gastroenterology, internal medicine and nutrition. He is also fellowship trained in clinical pharmacology and medical toxicology. In addition to practicing gastroenterology and nutrition, he has been actively involved in the education of medical students and gastroenterology fellows. This includes stints as program director for gastroenterology fellowship programs (training of future gastrointestinal specialists) at two different medical schools. Dr. Minocha's interest in scientific discovery spans over three decades. His research has spanned broad dimensions of laboratory research including animal research as well as clinical studies in human subjects. His research work has been presented at numerous national scientific meetings including but not limited to annual scientific meetings of the American College of Gastroenterology and American Gastroenterological Association. He is also author or co-author of over 100 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. In recognition of his research mentoring activities, Dr. Minocha was honored with the 2006 University of Mississippi Medical Center, Department of Medicine Langford Research Mentor award. Dr. Minocha has previously served as chief of gastroenterology at two different medical schools. He is a Fellow of American College of Physicians, American Gastroenterological Association and American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Minocha has been interviewed by or quoted in various media including radio, TV and publications like Ladies Home Journal, BottomLine and GQ.
