Is the pirate's life for me? Each animal provides him with its own unique experience. Kanna undergoes several emotions and makes many moral observations on his journey. In the end, he uses the wisdom he has gained to decide his future.

Kelly Anne Kruis is a pastor's wife and homeschooling mother of four children. Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, she enjoys working in watercolor, acrylic, and photography. One day, Kelly created a little song to console her toddler. The song blossomed into a story that eventually evolved into the children's book, "Is the Pirate's Life for Me?". Kanna, the main character of the book, has become a well loved mouse and member of the family.
