At some point in our lives, most (if not all) of us dig a deep hole for ourselves by abusing the use of credit cards, which adversely affects our credit and the quality of our lives.

Is your credit keeping you from your dreams which include any of the following?

It is important to note that most business transactions made by a consumer causes an inquiry to your credit report. Ironically, you may not get that husband or wife because their credit is good and yours is bad. If you ever get married to someone who has bad credit, your credit will mirror their credit once your social security number is connected through a purchase.

Most people desire a home but they do not prepare for a home. My husband, Glenn often states, "You can obtain but can you maintain it or keep it?" I agree with his observation. Once you obtain your dreams, can you keep what you have obtained?

"When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is happy. For a servant, mere words are not enough - discipline is needed; ..." Proverbs 29:18-20, New Living Translation. If you are not obedient in doing what you know is right, and you are not disciplined in your spending, then you are a candidate for not being able to maintain what you have obtained.

Another point to note is that your credit determines if you will get a job or a promotion. An example of this is men and women in the military who must repair their credit in order to get their security clearance for a higher position. These men and women are sometimes already performing the duties but are not getting the pay for the job that they are doing.

How we are deceived...

"I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life that both you and the descendants may live. And may love the Lord your God, obey His voice, and cling to Him. For, He is your life, and the length of these days, that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." Deuteronomy 30:19-31, American King James.

"Out of the same mouth proceeded blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? Either a vine figs? So, can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh?" James 3:10-12, King James.

We are deceived. The word money is in the Bible 140 times - from Genesis to Revelation.

"Wisdom or money can get you almost anything, but it's important to know that only wisdom can save your life."

"A feast is made for laughter, and wine make glad the life: and money answer all things." Ecclesiastes 10:19, American Standard.
