Dr. Wardah Tahir had graduated from Cornell University, New York USA, received her MSc in Water Resources from Birmingham University, UK and PhD in Civil Engineering (Water Resources) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia. Currently she is the Deputy Dean (Academic) and associate professor in the Faculty of Civil Engineering, UiTM. Wardah has completed a number of researches in Flood Frequency Analysis, Design Flood Estimation, River Modeling and Flood Simulation, and Flood Forecasting. She has published more than 60 papers in proceedings, journals, and books. She has developed two flood related software named DeFlood GS (patented) and GMS-Rain. She had also won several awards in exhibitions on invention and innovation, locally and internationally. Dr. Sahol Hamid bin Abu Bakar, the patron of Flood Control Research Centre, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) is a professor in the Faculty of Civil Engineering, UiTM and a Guest Professor of Civil Engineering at WAREM (Water Resources Engineering), University of Stuttgart, Germany. Currently holds the highest position in the largest university in Malaysia, he has always been enthusiastic in finding solutions in flood problems nationwide and worldwide. He has been involved with various research projects in the field of his expertise, including flood control, hydraulics, water resources, economy, environmental engineering and building construction and received several international awards for the research products. His vast experiences in management is of an outstanding achievement. Dr. Marfiah Ab.Wahid graduated from Faculty of Civil Engineering, UiTM in 1999, received Master in Environmental Engineering from UKM in 2005 and PhD from Kyoto University, Japan in 2011. She is currently the Head of Centre for Water Resources and Environmental System at Faculty of Civil Engineering, UiTM, Shah Alam. Her specialization lies in the field of Water and Environmental Engineering. Her major research interests are environmental monitoring including pathogen, antibiotic and antibiotic resistant bacteria, water and wastewater treatment technology. Dr. Siti Rashidah Mohd Nasir graduated in BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from University of Leeds, UK in 1994. She has been working as a Civil Engineer in a construction organization from 1994-1997 before further her studies in MSc Project Management from University of Glamorgan, UK and graduated in 1998. She then received her PhD from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2011. She serves as a lecturer in Faculty of Civil Engineering, UiTM from 1998 until to date. She is currently the Head of Centre for Construction Business and Project Management at Faculty of Civil Engineering, UiTM, Shah Alam. Her expertise is in Construction Project Management and her research interests are Sustainable Construction, Project Control and Planning, Solid Waste Management in Construction and Disaster Management. Dr. Rohana Hassan is a Fellow Researcher at Research Management Unit (RMI), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. Currently, she also works as Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Civil Engineering, UiTM and actively doing research in the field of fracture and impact energy for building material, timber engineering, engineered wood product, timber design and composites materials. Thus, she has become a regular invited speaker in the same field and acted as the Chairman for InCIEC 2013 and 2014 and Technical Program Chair for various Civil Engineering conferences. In addition, she is one of the Editors for InCIEC 2013. Her research papers and journals have been published locally and internationally. And she has received numerous awards through her research products.
